RDT Concepts takes pride in offering completely customized solutions based on client needs. One such example was the installation at the Tom Hanks Center for Motion Pictures at Wright State University.
The Motion Picture Center stores an extensive collection of DVDs and needed a high density system with a shelf width that wasn't typical for this kind of unit. RDT worked with our vendor to create a system that had never been made before, making this system truly a one of a kind, customized solution.
A consideration regarding the modification to this high density system was the top-heavy nature of the units due to very narrow shelving. To resolve this issue, anti-tip devices were installed. For economical reasons as well as the narrow size of the shelving, the stationary end unit was attached to the wall instead of the carriage.
The addition of a video cabinet utilizing outguides for efficient DVD filing and retrieval saves countless hours of time returning materials. Wide span and industrial rack shelving is used to houses audio video equipment and other materials.
